lmao the amount of shit Uruguay pull in the average Copa match puts Chile and Jara to shame. Cavani should've been redcarded in the first half alone for manhandling the linesman. Chile 100% deserved to win, Uruguay were playing for penalties and got what they deserved.

The game was amazing. Loved it.

Throughout this tournament, Chile were brilliant to watch. IMO establishing themselves as 1 of world football's best/most dynamic attacking sides. This game was fascinating for that reason. Uruguay's historically a very tactical, patient, & astutely defensive football culture. The set-up was perfect.

Chile had more % possession, but Uruguay seemed to have them controlled practically all game. Everyone knows how Uruguay hits you out of nowhere (much like Italy and Germany). So the game was still super tense.

...That was until Jara decided to check Cavani's oil. :lucho: The ending felt cheapened unfortunately. Like when a wrestler wins with a chair shot or something.  It's too bad. But at least it promises a hell of a rematch in the qualifiers.

IMO, I don't buy teams "deserving" to win in football just because of possession. Frankly, if possession mattered so much, then countries like Chile or Colombia would have the most titles on earth. Yet, they barely just caught up to Bolivia & it's the 21st century.

Considering his shaky start and how he missed buckets of chances early on, then went on to dominate the last 4-5 months of the season, I think he has a legitimate chance of winning the Pichichi next season.

Pretty funny vine involving Suarez and Turan. It looked like Luis was trying to nutmeg him there lol.
