Let's see how he does against Portugal tomorrow. I think Ronaldo will play too.
Been awhile since he scored a goal for the NT against a top shelf team.

I guess you asked about good performance, because theoretically he scored a penalty against France not so long ago, even twice. Also scored against Belgium but it was like 2 years ago, but on the other hand it’t not like we are playing top team every month or so. I also hope he performs well to be honest

“I fully understand what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved throughout his career, and how he has impacted the history of football with his achievements and numbers. This will certainly remain engraved in history.

“But when it comes to the match, I see it as a match between two teams, and we will need to play as a team to stand up to Portugal. They have many great players who I have faced before, and I know very well the level of challenge we will face.”

“As for Cristiano, he has written many pages of history and has always raised the bar for everyone around him, and this is something that cannot be overlooked. Although he has achieved everything or almost everything, and he is 39 years old and approaching 40, it is clear that he has ambition, as he gets angry and nervous, and this shows his great ambition.

“I think if he didn’t have that anger, he might have looked like he was just playing for the sake of playing. But he clearly still has the desire, and he looks physically in very good shape, which shows that the path he chose was successful. Regardless of age, his numbers keep going up and not the other way around. Of course, he is an exception and there are very few exce

We don't care about national team goals.
He needs to keep cooking for Barcelona
"We"...you mean you, your little sister and mama?

It is important for his fan base. I don't care about Nations Leage but to me, Poland vs Portugal is always an epic game, I look forward to it just as much as the game against Bayern.
Clear?

Besides,
There's an important psychological element; Lewandowski scores an important; winning or drawing goal for Poland against Ronaldo's team, not a consolation tap in or a PK, then his morale goes up exponentially.
That has a direct leverage on his confidence and, potentially, the performance at the club.

"We" all should know that...

His morale is probably already super high with how he's performing this season.

No one here is going to care about Poland vs. Portugal unless they're Polish or Portuguese. I have a hard time to bother caring for even the Norwegian national team.

Besides I doubt Lewandowski's so weak minded that a poor performance vs. Portugal is going to shatter his morale, or the opposite where a good performance is going to boost it big time. If that had been the case he wouldn't have reached the levels he has throughout his career. You sound like someone who's played too much of Football Manager or FIFA Career Mode with those player morale smileys that change from match to match.

Oh yeah, he's mature enough a player to know better than to bitch and moan if he doesn't get to touch the ball too much in this upcoming game.

The important thing is, he has always been vocal on the significance of playing for Poland. Of course, Poland losing against Portugal won't be much to write home about but in case they win 🫠🤗 that will be quite a boost for everyone. It is critical for a striker to have the confidence high...

Poland in Quatar WC was the ugliest playing team...where Lewandowski hardly got any juicy shot. The team was, rightfully, criticized left and right.
Now, did it not coincide with his form drop for the club immediately after?
