9 - Robert Lewandowski

No I think the problem is elsewhere, you simply don't like Lewandowski. Otherwise I don't understand after the victory. At Man City, Haaland can be a ghost for all the match then scoring the winning goal and all the fans will be happy but here we do like Lewandowski isn't even a professional. We criticize players but I think we need to change attitude too. Before criticizing you have to know the coach isn't idiot and choosed the best option for the team. He has more informations than us and isn't in an ego's battle with players. If he thinks the team is best with Lewa, give him his flowers when he scores. He's been clutch.
Haaland finishes his chances off. That's not the point though. Haaland also contributes to City being bad with his ghosting, City fans praising him for it is a different topic - he's their star player and they love him.

Lewandowski doesn't press with the intensity that other players do (which is understandable considering his age, but affects us nonetheless). He loses possesion too much and kills our attacks. He makes very little runs and often misplaces passes when trying to combine. It would all be alright if he scored the easy chances he is given, but he's not really been doing that either and it cost us some points.

In a club like Barça striker needs to do more than just score goals. That's how we play. Lewandowski stats this season are good but the offensive football we play would make any striker with half-decent finishing abilities recreate the same stats.

I feel like even in champions league final you'll always say BAD GAME while he'll be clutch.

He's scored 3 goals in the league in the last 10 games in our worst run. If he had been clutch earlier we might have been leading the league. It's a team game of course so I'm not blaming him, but let's calm down a bit. There's been multiple matches in games we have dropped points during that run when he's missed massive chances.

Now if he can keep scoring on the chances he gets going forward to help us catch up to RM and Atletico then yes his goalscoring is clutch.

Going forward however we need a replacement. Ideally this summer if we can afford it. Lewandowski's legs are pretty much gone at this point which is why he keep stumbling around. That's the first thing that happens when you get up in age.

What I don't understand is the fact you always repeat the same things. I'm sorry but Lewandowski also has fans so you can keep some comments at least when the team wins a vital game with him being clutch imo. Even his fans know he isn't top top but he has his stats. Even when you want to leave a player, especially in our case with financial problems, you have to increase your player's value but you're writing on a public website that Barça's #9 the current pichichi is a bad player so don't be surprise if the club don't get money enough with that mentality. The others will protect their player, especially with him being pichichi. I'm not a Lewa's fan but I really needed to say it.

That's exactly what I stated, okay tell Flick to bench him and let's see. I've a lot of experience with the speech you did to tell you any decent striker can't do what he does, at some point people told the same about Kluivert or even Eto'o but the future gave them their flowers.

Bro getting dog's abuse from the fanbase everyday and still beating all the best players in the world at 36.

A victim of his own greatness. Imagine being this good when you're washed up.

Barca leads big chances missed in Europe by like 20. Lewy’s been good but hardly exceptional. He’s clearly washed but good enough as a poacher. Also a non-entity pressing wise and can’t feed him through-balls

"Before the game we knew we had to win," Lewandowski told Movistar. "For us it's a moment in which we have less points than Atletico and Real Madrid, (but) first it's important that we win and later we can think about their points.

"We have to play well, win and then we can look at the league table and see how many points we have exactly."
"A game like today is very important," said Lewandowski.

"We can't always win with four, five or six goals, sometimes teams like this come along who defend deep and well, but we have a chance if we play with patience, and in the end we scored one more goal than them so we're very happy."
