Two, not very spectacular but important goals, setting the match into the inevitable win.
Robert Lewandowski did a good job.

For shits and giggles, we could argue, that it takes Lewandowski's genius not to step out the defenders' line and that those tap ins are also piece of art (or not...🤔) So, for example, had it been there, instead of Lewa, say, someone like Benzema or Morata, would they be able to find themselves also where Lewandowski was to do those tap ins too...maybe not, but maybe...they would have found themselves somewhere else, or done something else that Lewa wouldn't or couldn't, something equally contributable to the win.

The theory is that it would be some luck for someone else but for Lewa it was his skill and expertise of positioning and ... as someone eloquently put it, awareness.

Just watched the highlights.

The second one is indeed great positioning as he gambles at the back post on Kounde's cross coming all the way through. Agree.

First one he does well to get into a dangerous position, but he gets a huge element of luck in the ball coming straight back to him off the post, lol. Still, if he wouldn't have moved there he wouldn't have had the chance, fortunate as the rebound to him was off the post. And it was very fast reaction/reflexes to finish it so quickly, like that Ronaldo goal for Portugal the other week.

Still, if he wouldn't have moved there he wouldn't have had the chance, fortunate as the rebound to him was off the post. So , we could effectively argue that in the first one, he had a good 'muscle' reaction and reflex that someone else might be lacking and the second was about his foxy intuition, which is Mother Nature given, not necessarily available to someone else.

Yes exactly, that is what I was implying - great reflexes for first, and great awareness and movement for second.

They wouldn't. This is trademark Lewandowski to do this over and over again.
I remember at Bayern he would do this regularily the defenders always called for offside but he never was.

The only striker that could match him right now is Haaland, and that says a lot.

Having said that, Morata or Benzema are effective in different ways and have their own way of scoring. It comes down to fine details which we won't get into.
