FYI, Ronaldo only played a single game more in his 17 goal campaign than Lewandowski did in his 15 goal campaign, not that you'll care though.

Just stating what I think and what many people think, which is that under normal circumstances Ronaldo's record would've fallen Lewandowski in 2020.

I wasn't saying anything about how worthy Ronaldo's record is...

And it's a known fact that Ronaldo will play meaningless matches against minions to stat pad. He does it literally all the time. Juve fans were rightfully pissed when he was injured for the Juve match only to appear in the starting lineup for Portugal 3 days later against Andorra or Gibraltar.

People are getting too carried away with this guy. Most of his goals are tap-ins and penalties against cannonfodder opposition. Prime Suarez was obviously much better, more well-rounded player. Brazilians Ronaldo and Romario were obviously on a different level too. Gerd Muller? Never saw him play. But then there are the likes of Van Basten, Van Persie, Batistuta, Etoo and probably many others. People are way too much into statistics nowadays... Could Lewy have done what Luisito did in 2012-2014 in Liverpool? Of course not.

Prime suarez didnt score in his best season 13-14 against top5 of PL. I doubt that he was even nearly on the level of 2008 or 2012 Ronaldo.

And im just here pointing out the amount of games both played were almost the same, since you only brought up how few games Lewandowski played.

And "statpadding" is a meaningless phrase, if you want records you neccessarily have to play as many games as you can.

I could call Messi a statpadder in his 50 goal la liga season too, but i won't do that, nobody is blaming fit players for playing

Actually - no. If you really watch him you know that he likes to score the difficult and often fails with the easiest... And yes, he has venues in which he often does not score - like in Leverkusen, Gladbach and Frankfurt - no problem at home against any opponent - but even in this venues he often scored in the last seasons. He scored 2 in Berlin at the weekend - Union Berlin has not lost a match at home in the last 2 years...
