Goals are not everything. Remember that he is 100% dependent on his team mates. He cannot dribble past anyone. Comparing him to Messi is utterly absurd. The same with prime Suarez. Someone like Robin Van Persie was technically a much better player, even though Lewy is more clinical in front of a goal. Lewy reminds me of an upgraded version of Mario Gomez.

I literally posted several videos of Lewy dribbling 4-5 guys before scoring or assisting. He also scored 2 solo goals in last world cup playing with scrubs from Poland against Spain and Sweden. Comparing Lewy to Suarez is absurd, because Suarez was good for whole 2 years, and even during his 2-year peak he never got to Lewandowski's current level. Messi was better than Lewandowski in 2015 but now it's the other way around.

Messi stats for this season:
Ligue 1: 5 matches 0 goals 0 assists
UCL: 3 matches 3 goals 0 assists

Lewandowski stats for this season:
Bundesliga: 10 matches 12 goals 1 assist
UCL: 4 matches 8 goals 1 assist

You will probably now say that Ligue 1 is harder than Bundesliga :) Maybe PSG needs to spend another trillion dollars :)

It's absurd to say Messi is better than Lewandowski this season.

Remember that he is 100% dependent on his team mates.

Yeah, like in that game vs Real where he scored 4. Or in games vs Chelsea where he participated in every single goal. It was 7-1 over 2 legs and Lewandowski assisted or scored every single one. And let's not forget that Messi is depending on his teammates a lot, too. Do you remember 8-2? Lewandowski assisted the first goal and scored the 6th. Messi did nothing for 90 minutes :) Or maybe let's look at Bayern vs PSG - when Lewandowski played Bayern won. When Lewandowski didn't play - Bayern lost. Almost as if Lewandowski does more than scoring goals :)

I think Real would have beat that Bayern. Regardless, they were on course to the final of the ucl before lewandowski scored all those goals.

Come on guys, use a bit of common sense when reading what I’m saying. I’m clearly showing how Lewandowski stopped a very strong Real Madrid side reaching the final. Whether they would have gone on to win the thing is besides the point

Yeah agree was lewandowski's best performance of all time. Real was favourite to win the tie but on this day this man won the match on his own, especially his third goal was truly worldclass. Nearly bottled it in second match though :mou:

Barca > RM > Bayern > Barca for the most part when it comes to H2H

tru

Let me know when Lewa drops a performance v big teams like:

Messi's double at the Bernabeu
Messi's CL finals v United (especially 2011)
Messi's double v Bayern
Messi's poker against Arsenal (before they were a joke)
Messi's double v Pool

Just to name a few. Lewa is obviously a great striker, but people on here need to chill comparing him to Messi's record in the CL.
That's correct only about their record in general

If you draw the line in summer of 2019 though,
then Lewa has better performances since then both in CL, and domestic league hands down

Imagine thinking Lewa is a poacher. He is one of the most complete forwards ever. His touch and playmaking are too underrated. He also adapted his game for Bayern, dribbled much more at Dortmund. Dribbles a lot for Poland.

He is more then just a goalscorer i have to agree with that but he also benefits a lot from Bayern's attacking prowess and the Bundesliga being the most attacking big league without no teams that know how to defend.

Also, even in 2020 when Bayern won the CL, the knockout stage was more of a team effort from Bayern then Lewa making the difference.

Lewandowski: “I stopped thinking about the Ballon d’Or. It's not helping. There are more important things at the moment. I will think about it on the day of the Gala. It's a big deal, but we've got a bit of work to do now.”

Sounds like someone who got notified he didn't win it.
