Oh I want him to win, and he will.

But phrases like football is dead if X or Y doesn't win are just dumb things to say and you know that.

Why?

Lewa has no playmaking
No skills
No dribbling
Outside the box goals? Good luck

Dominates in a weak league it's whatever

Weak league? So let's focus on Champions League only.

Lewandowski has 0.23 assists per game in UCL over career. Better than Benzema who is usually mentioned as the best "playmaking striker". And 0.81 goals per game in UCL over the whole career. Better than Messi and Cristiano not to mention Kane Benzema or Suarez. Haaland has better g/m but he only played a few games.

And this season Lewandowski has 2 goals per match in UCL :) What more can you expect from a striker :)

Regarding dribbling and playmaking - watch Lewandowski play for Poland. He drops much deeper cause no service. And does stuff like this:

Jus a minor point, yes, 81 goals in 100 games is very impressive, but the comparisons are a bit skewed in his favor, considering Ronaldo was actually a winger for a good number of his first 100 games, Messi played more out wide too.

Let me know when Lewa drops a performance v big teams like:

Messi's double at the Bernabeu
Messi's CL finals v United (especially 2011)
Messi's double v Bayern
Messi's poker against Arsenal (before they were a joke)
Messi's double v Pool

Just to name a few. Lewa is obviously a great striker, but people on here need to chill comparing him to Messi's record in the CL.

Tbf his best performance was 2012 vs Real Madrid. Absolute legend for that game. Madrid were well on course to win that ucl.

Goals are not everything. Remember that he is 100% dependent on his team mates. He cannot dribble past anyone. Comparing him to Messi is utterly absurd. The same with prime Suarez. Someone like Robin Van Persie was technically a much better player, even though Lewy is more clinical in front of a goal. Lewy reminds me of an upgraded version of Mario Gomez.

on course to win the ucl? Didnt you see Heynckes Bayern 12/13? They were by far the best team in the world. 11/12 Real was stronger than 12/13 Real.

I think Real would have beat that Bayern. Regardless, they were on course to the final of the ucl before lewandowski scored all those goals.

Come on guys, use a bit of common sense when reading what I’m saying. I’m clearly showing how Lewandowski stopped a very strong Real Madrid side reaching the final. Whether they would have gone on to win the thing is besides the point
