So yes, he is getting overrated. Aguero, Falcao, Benzema, Cavani, in their prime would score probably the same in this Bayern team. Prime Suarez for me will always be a level above Lewa, he would challenge Messi and Ronaldo numbers.

The thing is that about half of Lewandowskis career is basically comparable to what these players did "at their prime".

I am comparing this Lewa to other players prime, because this is Lewas prime. Players don't have their prime all at the same age and at the same time.

From 2013 till 2016 Lewa couldn't even clean the boots of Suarez. Today the roles are reversed.

Lewa was sensational in 2012-2014 though, he spent a year adapting to Bayern and Pep's tactics. The man put 4 past Mou's RM.

but 2013-2016 is less years than 2016-present.
And even 2013-2016 Lewandowski in his "non-prime" was still actually worldclass and one of the best strikers in the world, whereas Suarez outside of his prime became overweight, unfit and inconsistent.
Suarez prime was better than Lewandowskis, I think people will generally agree with that. But Lewandowski has always been at or near the top throughout his whole career. As off today he already wins in longetivity by a landslide, but then again he will still play at this level for likely 3-4 more seasons to come.

I doubt 3-4 more seasons of 55-60 goals a season. That's like Messi, CR7, Pele, Muller numbers

I can see 1 more of 55-60 and then 2-3 more of 40ish.

Career-wise, Lewa and Benz are better than Suarez. Suarez at his peak was better than both, but his peak in Europe lasted 2 years. That's way too short. I'd pick Lewa as the best striker of the last 8 years overall.

Peak Suarez has also become a bit of a mythical figure. Suarez was crucial to the most dominant treble (statistically) in football history BUT his partners in crime were a 58 goals, 29 assists Messi and a 41 goals Neymar.

And much is made about his 13/14 in Liverpool, where he was a show...no doubt, but he also didn't score against the big teams.

His 15/16 peak of 58 goals in a season was really impressive but he kinda fell apart since then.

Overall, I would say Lewandowski > Suarez / Benzema at the moment, but not much separates the 3 (for now).

Weirdly enough, if I wanted one of those to win a game (somehow, someway), I'd chose Benzema. Benz has been winning his entire career.

Yea, I'd agree. Suarez's CL form hurts him a lot. He had too many stinkers and his last away CL goal was vs Roma in 2016.

That's fair, I can see that. Though scoring 40 a season till his late 30s would still be pretty big. Zlatan and Ronaldo are still somewhat fit at high age, Lewandowski can play for a little longer aswell I suppose.

Zlatan not really that fit, Ronaldo still doesn't get injuried very often, but he is younger than Zlatan.
