No. But actually that is not about the stats but about the type of player. And it actually is very difficult to compare players with different playing styles - even if it is the same position. In my eyes Messi is and was best in combination with a real centre forward even if he is/was used as a false 9 - whereas Lewandowski is that real 9. And Lewy besides his individual skills is no 1 vs 1 player and needs to have a good relationship to his team to perform and to give him that little (he does not need much) space to beat his marker.

I don't believe those rumors saying that we want him. We won't pay the hefty transfer fee Bayern wants and his currently salary (24m, probably gross) is something we can't afford, plus, he will only be good for another two years tops, we want a long-term CF. Manchester United reportedly contacted him/Bayern and is said to be interested.

With City getting Haaland, he should stay as other options aren't great. PSG might be the most likely destination if he does go though as they were in for him last summer and need to revamp their attack.
