No chance this happens but if we snag Lewa + Salah, best team in the world next season (probably comfortably too).

Last time a team had more than 1 of the top 5 players in the world was...2014-2015 Barca (One could also argue 2016-2017 RM with CR7 and maybe Ramos or Modric).

It's either Lewy or Salah. Both won't come.

Barca fans would want Salah more because of his age.

Where do you have Salah ranked among Liverpool legends? You all are a curious case as a club, to be honest, having achieved so much without any out and out all-time greats (like top 25 players in history). Bayern is not necessarily comparable either as they have an easy top 10 all time (Franz), and an easy top 20 all time (Muller), along with legends like Lewa, Neuer, Lahm, Bastian, KHR, Breitner etc.

Salah over Stevie? Over Rush?

No sane Liverpool fan has Salah over Gerrard as a legend.

Gerrard/Dalglish would be the clear top two players for most fans would think although that is all time not just last 25 years.

Let's say we get him and spend all of our summer transfer budget on him (and ignoring other needs), for huge wages (already 24m and he wants more) and only good for like 2 years, then we need to look for his replacement again in a couple of years.

Luckily Bayern will come to our rescue by either refusing to sell or demanding an astronomical transfer fee, making Laporta come to his senses.

He'll stay.

Either to run out his contract and get the big bucks as a free agent or renew.

There is no way Robert Lewandowski is leaving Bayern Munchen this summer. The club is also not going to commit to a player of his age with the money being talked about. No matter how great he is.

I think as much as Laporta might want a big name right now there are cooler heads that will prevail in Barcelona. I think it's more likely we sign Raphinha + a striker like Darwin Nunez or Jonathan David than sign Lewandowski or Salah on a massive salary deal + prob like 40, 50m minimum in transfer fee.

How much does he want?

He's on 24m gross per year now and he reportedly want 30m+ and a longer commitment than 2-3 years.
