9 - Robert Lewandowski

What is it claimed that Lewandowski would bring in two seasons?

Why two?

40m for someone on a 3 year contract at 34 is not some bargain deal and he would be getting a very big salary as well.

Why 2?
Because the club can't afford going 5 years with no major trophy and getting a guy capable of scoring 40+ goals per season improves your chances drastically even if you don't build a proper squad.

He's a great player, but is he really a guarantee of 40+ goals if the team is dysfunctional and full of oldies next season?

You make out as if he will score 40+ for Barca and lead them to trophies when without him it is 5 years without any.

Again.. why 2? Why not 3, 4 or 5?

Nothings disgusts me more than presidents caring more about their 5 year term performances than the future of the club. This type of deals is what brought barca here in the first place.

He is a 9 who scored 40+ goals in 7 consecutive seasons, and not all of those Bayern was functional.

If the board and coach target is immediate trophies (they are) is there is a better alternative we can get?

Yes, but those teams were better than our current team still and he was younger. I have my doubts tbh.

FWIW I don't think there's a chance we get him. I think it's all noise created to distract people.

How many a season did Messi score before going to PSG?

Doesnt work like that and a risk.

Bayern not functional? They have walked the league near enough every season.

It would be a lot of money on the books for a 34 year old in a team with a lot of problems.

Do Bayern not want to win trophies? Why would they let him go if that is the case?

Even for a dead team with no midfield like Poland, Lewy gets a goal a game and plenty of assists these recent years. Even against far superior opposition.

He's literally a goal guarantee.

People act like he is one season wonder.

We need impact immidetly, next year we can buy young striker and get rid off Auba/Lewa. Next year is important.

He very well could be. He is not getting younger.

Do you realize if we get him on a long contract (3 years), and if he can't deliver we have another Griezmann, only worse, we can't even loan or sell a 35 year old?

Not to mention his big wages will take up a lot of our wage room that should have been reserved for other positions. If we get him we might not have money AND salary room for other signings.

Like everyone though Messi would destroy France or Ronaldo would come in and take Man U to next level.

It is a risk at that age and a lot of money.
