What happened to the whole rebuilding the team and making room for youngsters?

We used to sign young talented players and players in their prime (Ibra, Villa, Suarez, etc) and now we are getting washed up post-prime players like Aubameyang, Depay and Lewandowski who can give you 1 or max 2 seasons until they are completely useless.

Well, it's money and we no longer have the team that attracted players. Almost everyone wanted to pay with Messi,Xaviesta.

To be fair, Lukaku is good. Fast, strong, a good finisher with feet and head and (despite of his supposed reputation) he does have a good technique. Will he score as many goals as Lewy? Probably not. Could he be more decisive in the big CL games? Certainly.
