Benzema already with a hattrick in first half , now at only 1 goal behind Lewa.
Pinchini or not, Benzema is pure class. Perez once famously said that Benzema is like a fusion of the original Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. For a long time while playing a second fiddle to CR that seemed like a joke. Nowadays, it really does fit the guy. He can do pretty much everything and always does the right call. When Lewy had that chance to pass the ball to Raphinha, Benz would have passed it in a heartbeat.

Benzema is an absolutely amazing footballer to watch, he is a joy to the game, and the interesting thing is, he has done all this whilst being unathletic, slowed down and weak, something that top 9s almost never are.
His ability is all football and its amazing to see.
What a shame he is a less than savoury off the field character.

Benz has bigger skill set than Ronaldo ever had. Not surprised in the least how he's turned out, could see this realized potential when Ronaldo was still there.

They complimented each other very well, it may have been to the detriment of Benzema individual stats, but in the end its about the team, who can argue against multiple UCLs and scoring 100+goals just about every season?
No, dont think so, what i find is about 580 for Ronaldo, 515 or something for Benzema.
At least, thats what transfermarkt gives me.
Unathletic? Karim Benzema? He has scored a ton of acrobatic goals. Only Luis Suarez has scored more. And he isnt (or at least wasnt) slow either.

You haven't watched Madrid recently if you think Benzema is athletic at the moment lol.
Guys legs are gone, its ball to feet or nothing, yet, so fantastic he is in those situations.

Post 15/16 Suarez was a donkey but he was never making unneeded extra touches and made quick decisions, sometimes too quick trying to play incisive one-touch passes.
Lewy is the polar opposite. He kills a good 2-3 seconds every time he receives the ball, making 2-3 useless touches with several half-turns. I don't remember him being this slow in decision-making at Bayern and Dortmund, but he was like this at Barca from the start.
So frustrating. Seems like his mind can't keep up with the play these days. Or his mind can but feet/body are too old at this point. May be because of the lighting/rain today but it also seemed to me that his hair is starting to grey
