Great season he's had statistically. Helped us with his winning attitude and 30+ goals (no penalties too) and made many assists.
Also, service he got was below standard.

This season will be pretty much the same with 30 goals or so.

Great player to have and best striker we could have gotten at the time.

He was the most important signing for Barca last summer. The club needed to make a statement signing and rally the players in the locker room. A Ballon D'or/POTY winner like Lewandowski did just that. Performance wise, good pre-WC, very average post-WC.

He's been alright. Not amazing. Decent.

Great for the league but been disappointing at the top level. Just a little too physically worn out to terrorise the top defenders anymore.

Roque might be more useful in the important games as seems a physical presence with a lot of energy so at least he can be a pest. Lewa was a traffic cone at times in the important games.

Overall maybe his signing has been C or B grade, so not bad, but the lack of money we have generally makes it hurt more if he can't perform in the knockout ties.

You're probably right about him being the best we could have gotten at the time. Only small red flag was his age, and now it's clear that he's not going to be the long term solution.

As for his evolution so far, it's certainly not a 9/10. He was very good the first months, then went disappearing after new year's eve or so. Nicked a goal here and there but hasn't carried the team by himself, and most important he went missing in most of the big games. I'd rate his first season a 6.5/10.

Not according to the board since his contract is 4+one optional year. Unless we manage to shift him to some exotic place, that's a lot of years; he'd be almost 38 when he ends his contract..
