Need to sell him next summer. Did his part plenty last season, and if he does his part this season too that's quite a solid transfer.

Needs to get his ass back on form. He started to produce better games before he got injured.

Last season he wasnt worth the money either even if won league.

Lewa scored less per min than Auba/LDJ did previous season.
Barca as a team scored 2 more goals than a season when had Depay/LDJ at CF for half of it.
Barca won every game Lewa missed including game he fucked team over with early red away to Osasuna.

Also the price of Lewa is in part to try and help bring in more cash by progressing in Europe.. he was a disaster in Europe overall.

They are lucky the SA money became a thing to try and get out of a poor transfer.

Lewa's skillset is just not suitable for Barca under Xavi. Weak at heading, weak at link-up (used to be strong at this but now he's washed), weak at 1v1 duels and holdup play, and slow as a snail.

Also that Bayern juice has run out. It's clear that Flick's Bayern was on some PEDs, that amount of muscle gain for all those players in a short time is not just down to an emphasis on gym work

On a sporting level sure, he’s rather disappointing, but was arguably bought as a figurehead. Hype was insane in the first few months (well, I was in Poland on a business trip around that time xD).

Anyways, we need to luck out on Roque, Lamine, that Brazilian Messi fella if it comes to that… otherwise the future looks bleak.

He was bought to improve the attack of the team and the team in Europe.. that is the justification for paying huge money for a 34 year old.

Barca got better after system changed to four mids and Lewa got worse.

Players like FDJ, MATS, Christensen and Araujo as teams best players won the league for Barca more than any idea of team being led by Lewa.

Above all players lead by performance.

One of the most clueless posters on this forum. Yet, has the loudest mouth.

Embarrassing.

He refused arabs in the past summer and I'm afraid he will turn down offers in the 2024 summer as well since he's got a very nice contract at Barca not at any club based in any city.

IMO this comparison is in Lewadnowski's favour. I often resent him for having a goal/xg efficiency < 100%. However, I compare him to the best killers in the world. These have this statistic of more than 120%. I'm not even counting Bellingahm cuz I don't believe he could maintain a 200% effectiveness in the long term (at BVB he had 100%).
Aubameyang this season (Ligue 1 + EL): 5.4 xg -> 3 goals. Hopeless. Plus the guy is often injured. This is an important factor. For example, Neymar. A brilliant player but he missed 50% of PSG games...

Barca's biggest problem is buying terminating stars, not up-and-coming ones. 3/4 of the players in the current squad are overpaid. The funniest thing is that the alumni have given Barca the most this season.

To be fair.... He was never that good to begin with as we are seeing now with mr Harold taking over at Bayern. A very good, old-fashioned number 9 but... meh. Had he played his prime years in La Liga or in the Premier League, his numbers would have been drastically different. A bit of a diva, a bit of an egotist and a great deal of a flat-track bully. If Harry Kane breaks his goalscoring record on his debut season and Bayern somehow manages to win the CL, that will be a sort of a coup-de-grace for Lewy and his legacy.
If Kane succeeds and there are many indications that he will, the German journalists will be embarrassed. When Lewa scored 41 in a season many of them were saying that this record would not be broken for 50 years. Kane plays 1 season in the BL, 1 season in a new league/country. He's great, Real screwed up by not trying to buy him.

Bayern plays differently today than they did all time when Lewy was there. Right now it is a low block with 3 runners and Kane, who often even is in midfield. When Bayern has a lot ball possession Kane does not even get any touches in the box...

You cannot compare the styles. Right now the teams do not alter the tactics against Bayern - but when they do and park busses again Harry will have a lot difficulties, too.

He is another one that looks fucking flummoxed by the tactics.

No wide player within 40 yds of him and AM behind him is... well there isnt one really.

Barca need a top AM badly and one that gets 25 goals assists.

The midfield is full of players that dont have that role or an AM.

Never ever happen at Barca but at Real if they had two players like Pedri/Gavi who dont compliment one another very well one would go.

Barca wont for political reasons and scared how fans would react.

He plays Gavi high almost next to the box when isnt effective there as a player at all and racks up very few goal contributions despite playing so near to the goal.

It is very strange and wonder why the team hasn't gone for any real attacking mids when they are playing a much worse player who doesn't fit the role there.
