In term of LW, Etoo definitely cant compete with Henry or Iniesta. So there will zero chance that Henry will be on the bench much if we dont strengthen the LW, if we do then both Etoo and Henry will be on the bench.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about me wanting Eto'o to leave. If we can't get Villa and Eto'o leaves - than we are in big trouble my fellow Cules. At least it's good we have Forlan on hold, but for how long? He knows he is second option after Villa but he might get tired of sticking around. And than not even PTC can calm me down...

Forlan is NOT a good idea-he misses too many sitters. He scores some spectacular goals but is better being a big fish in a little pond eg Villareal, AM. He's also too old and wouldnt fit in-just my 2 cents. Better for Sammy to stay-which is more likely.

Summed him up perfect .

I loved him for his effort but the game was too fast for him in england and he missed more often then not over here . I have to admire his La Liga record and Im glad he has been a success as he is a great player .

Fucking same! I don't know why, but when I woke up this morning (well, afternoon) the idea of selling Eto'o scared the shit outta me. I'm going soft

you guys are talking as if we're in control of Sammy. The man does what the man wants. Lets see where his agent leads him to.

You are right.
Eto'o leave and Villa come, Eto'o leave and Villa come!

The only decent signing would be Wolfsburg striker Djeko. 30 million would be enough. He is pretty good & better than Guiza!! I see alot of people are crapping their pants at the thought of Sammy leaving now! Sammy deserved more respect. Maybe he's just playing hard to get & wants some love.I want Villa & Eto together-dynamite!

i think most of the tension is made up by press.... but if etoo stays and we do not get a world class striker... maybe henry in the middle and bojan wide.. idk and maybe K9 will take la liga by storm.. we are Barça the tricampions and it will be okay... we keep messi xavi andres pique puyol everything is okay

Barcelona try in vain to resurrect Man City deal for Samuel Eto'o

Barcelona were last night fighting a losing battle in a bid to persuade Manchester City to resurrect their £25million offer for striker Samuel Eto'o.

City pulled the plug on the deal late on Friday night after refusing a request from Barca president Joan Laporte to once again extend a deadline for the transfer to be concluded.

The Catalan club, desperate to sell Eto'o to the Blues to help fund their own £35m move for Valencia's David Villa, spent yesterday trying to resume negotiations with City's hierarchy. But chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarek was adamant City were no longer interested in Eto'o.
