Adama Traore

Unfortunately he is very limited player. When opponents prepare well and close the space on the right flank he becomes useless.

Dembele had easier role vs tired legs but couldn't help but think he is twice the player Adama is.

Adama needs to improve his final pass, sometimes he should drive to goal and force an error or penalty. Teams don't mind him running to corner and making sloppy pass.

He needs to improve final pass, tunnel vision and finishing

Yes, honeymoon is definitely over. Adama was off against Frankfurt, managed to dribble past his opponents, but again stuck to the high crossing from the wing like we still deploy Luuk De Jong.

Part of his performance could be attributed to Araujo playing in RB, he rarely went forward like Dest and Alves, played like a CB on that position, not saying it wasn't phenomenal defending. But Araujo's offensive approach also had influence on Traore being more isolated.

Will wait for another game, but the trend is clearly decline for now.

I don't know why they don't give him the ball often to dribble and make crosses when he comes in, at least give him a chance

To be fair, both this appearance and his last one, he has not attempted to involve himself at all. He's mostly tracked back, then stood out semi wide while letting a defender mark him. He needs to stay more wide or come back or inside to get involved, and to also open up space for him to run into.

Standing there while being marked isnt going to get him the ball. Dembele made himself available all game long.
