Adama Traore

Bartra kinda is first team material already though, aside from a recent game where he was oddly off form, he's always been great and the best defender on the field whenever he played for us for the most part. And Rafinha has all the potential in the world its just a question if he fulfills it or not and he's on the right track so far.

Rafael Hernández ‏@RafaelH117 Adama didn’t play for Barcelona B today because the coach has issues with him.

I'd not be suprised if this came out true...

So he can dribble past 4 players than lose the ball?

No. So that he could make our right flank dangerous again when Messi is on one of his runs inside to the middle. When Messi played in the middle against Elche our RW was crap with Alves and Pedro. No threat at all.If he improved his crossing and developed chemistry with Messi he would be great asset offensively. Defensively I'm not sure, but Alves doesn't defend either. And I'm pretty sure i he started to dribble too much Messi would set him straight. How many players have you seen playing selfishly next to the little dictator?

In all seriousness, his defending can't be WORSE than Cuadrado, can it? He's still really young, and he's strong/physical/fast, I wonder if it's really impossible to develop him more as a defensive-minded wingback for the future?

Right now it is a question of is he good enough to play in the 1st team not where he fit there
Kid has went full retard in the past few months .he is doing basically nothing but increasing his take on numbers .his selfishness in unmatched and his crossing makes Alves looks like Beckham
Last season I thought he is the most sure thing .but it seems that hype got into him
I highly doubt he will be playing in 1st team next season .if Lucho decided to loan Deulofeu I would bet he would do the same with Adama

It is. Remember that Cuadrado actually played as a wing back for years.

His football intelligence and decision making is awful, not to mention his off the ball movement is poor.. I can't see him playing as a RB unless he improves significantly

It would take a miracle to produce a solid RB or RWB out of Adama Traore. The kid couldn't link up or engage in team play if his life depended on it. His footballing intelligence is next to 0 and he'd probably drain 3x more from the team play in that position than he contributes to it. If Alba at worst can look like a retarded pace-whore and Alves at-worst can cross ~24 times with only 2 semi-successful ones, Adama at medium form would be worse than both of those combined. If he played RWB confidently he'd just go on non-stop kamikaze runs. If he played it conservatively he'd just pass backwards to the RCB or RCM Douglas style. I can't possibly see it as a successful positional shift. At least where he plays now, his level of individualism isn't unheard of and shockingly detractive.

Samper and Grimaldo to central midfield is worth much more consideration.

he seems like a classic case of being physically superior to the other youths but that won't cut it at top level unless you are like bale. most of the time you need at least some footballing intelligence to make it.

That would be true if he hadn't produced his fantastic dribbling at the senior level as well.
