But he can attack right :pep:

It doesn't make sense if that new RB is Bellerin, who is equal/worse defensively

nah, that train has passed. I always said we should have bought a versatile full back that can play both sides, like Ricardo Pereira, Djibril Sidibe or Bruno Peres. It wont happen.

That's why Douglas stayed with Barca, he probably saw Aleix in training and thought to himself "Hell, I am better than him, I will fight for the starting spot".

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Not looking good for him... He's too much of a winger to defend, and his Barca past played a part in his signing and we know how those sentimental signings tend to work out...

When we signed him I thought he was a good acquisition with his defensive fragility being possible to work on, but starting to have doubts about that now. He's very fast and even if you're a poor defender, some make a bit up for it that way, but his defensive positioning and lack of awareness is so bad that he's not possible to get there in time usually, even with his rapid pace.

And that needs a lot of work to improve on. Defensive instincts and all that. Perhaps he'll get better with the season, but it's risky. Roberto also has some positioning problems IMO, but to a lesser degree.

I hope they can work their way out though.....

I agree. But with Roberto, the problem is that, while he's somewhat better in defence, he's really nothing special in offense (I still remember Valencia crowding Suarez & Messi a lot in the center when they won 2-1 on Camp Nou, and leaving Roberto on the wing free because he's not exactly an attacking threat). So we have to choose between Vidal, who's good in offense, but really bad in defence, and Roberto, who's a bit better in defence, but also not as good in offense. Really a "golden" choice to make.
