He is more of AM ,his style is similar of Messi in terms of the way he dribbles and pass but his role is closer to Iniesta ,an AM who open things for teammates .

I think him not pressing all that much is deliberate.

He is a young player who is arguably most important player on the team and the one that can make a difference.

They want him to play as many minutes as possible and be the outlet when they win the ball back.

Of course it's deliberate, not only he is the best player from Gijon, but on the run, with the ball at his feet attacking an exposed backline, he is very very dangerous.

We really need to bring him back. That's why he is playing like that. To convince us to bring him back in the summer. He should be the first sub to our MSN, while also getting minutes in midfield. Bring a CF for Suarez, and bring Halilovic back in the summer. Loan Munir and keep Sandro. And we're set.

We played Rafinha as a winger when one of the MSN was unavailable. Halilovic would be even better there.

He would actually press when the ball is still in midfield many sometimes
they are playing 4-5-1 ,on defense 8 other players are in their own 3rd ,only number 9 and AM would stay in middle 3rd .otherwise moving deeper he would allow the other team defender(fb&DM) to attack freely

when he came to Gijon he started to play, in Barcelona he was to afraid in my oppinion (to much stars and pressure for a young foreign player who is new to country and a club) he needed this so he can acclimatize to Spain and culture.Cant wait next season when he is back

I'm strictly against bringing him back in Summer. Have seen this scenario way too many times. Halilovic need to play regularly and he won't get that at Barca right now, especially with Lucho pushing for the signing of Nolito. You simply cannot rotate enough for him to get enough minutes to keep developing.
