What kit number will he get? All first team numbers are taken? what does this mean?

JDS is probably leaving on loan. I also heard that he will get #17, but I don't think that Pedro will agree on that.

I don't understand the commotion, 19 million euros is a cheap price for a player like Song. I don't understand why Arsenal accepted our offer, but I'm glad to welcome Song. He can be our new Touré, technically superior to almost every DM, has a great pass and can drive forward if needed. His forward moves can be useful to penetrate defenses, when our usual passing-style doesn't work. Apart from that, I don't think that he will drive forward as much as he did with Arsenal. Vilanova will tell him to stay on his spot as much as possible, only go forward if really needed. With that in mind, I don't think that he will be caught out positioned a lot.
No its a fair price. The transfer market is generally out of control and alot of players goes for prices they are not close to. l19 million euros for a very good defensive midfielder is fair. Also defensive players are usually cheaper than offensive players. i think its a good deal for both clubs and this must be the quickest deal the two clubs has ever done. no fuss or fight, both clubs wanted the deal

The fact that Arsenal let go of this player without any fuss, or that we didn't 've any competitor in the market for his signature should tell us something.

For all his perceived faults, Alex Song was a valuable contributor to Arsenal's rally to a Champions League spot last year. He plays well and has amazing through-balls.

Without any fuss? Sure about that one? Song has done everything in order to be sold since the end of last season and has apparently had several clashes with Wenger.

Wenger ultimately lost the patience with him and probably the trust in most of his players. I don't think that he is ready to make a big fuss anymore if a given player wants to leave by all costs as long as the transfer fee is acceptable. Not after being screwed over by his players repeatedly over the last few years. You should have seen him earlier today.

19 million euros for a player that has 2 years left of his contract and who does not want to stay is a fair price. Wenger has no reason to complain about that price at all. Nor FCB for that matter. I am sure Arsenal will miss him as will their fans also openly told how great he was before all the rumours started. Now when he is sold they will suddenly have no problems at all with replacing him. Typical behaviour from football fans regardless of club.

Anyway all this will have no influence on how he will perform. Shakhtar Donetsk were eager to keep Chygrynskiy and would only sell him for 25 million euros. Look how that turned out.

Typical Barça Forum, guy hasn't played a second and some of you are already calling him the new Hleb.

Welcome Song! I have never given him much attention so I don't really know how good he is, but we'll see soon enough. I hope he turns out the be a good signing. Good luck!
