Can't see him moving to any EPL club. Would not be enough of an upgrade to make it worth his while. Maybe Liverpool, but they won't pay the piper 120m.

I can only see him moving to Bayern, Barca, Real. PSG if he wants huge money.

Would still prefer Gyok at 70m than Isak at 120m any day off the week.

Think I read he prefers Spain. And not sure Newcastle would be so happy to let go of him to a rival.

First we can hope for Newcastle to miss out on CL or preferably any European competition. Then perhaps Isak can put pressure on them to accept a lower bid. 80-90m I think.

Would be amazing if this happened

Contract until 2028 but Newcastle reportedly preparing new deal until 2030.

Well, if he signs that then we'll never get him. As said our best bets to get him are next year.

Or alternatively arrange a future transfer for Šeško and leave him developing in Leipzig for another year while Robbie will lead us to treble (yeah, sure :ROFLMAO:).

Well if Newcastle fail to reach the CL then selling Isak and replacing him with a player like Sesko for less money would not be the worst thing for them easier.

I think reaching CL this season is not a deal breaker. Next season will be more important. Would probably be better if they get to CL now and then struggle in PL next year because of that (lot of teams that don't play in CL regularly can struggle in their domestic competitions) which would make him more likely to leave in 2026. We would also see if he can actually do it in the CL before signing him. But ofc there is a danger of him renewing and becoming unavailable if they qualify for CL.

As I see it, currently the most realistic option is that Lewy stays until 2026 as the main striker. Therefore Isak might be better to acquire in 2026. I don't think we'll spend big money on a CF in 2025. Best case scenario would be if Lewy is tempted by Saudi cash, but it's unlikely, see reason below.

Isak might renew but if I were him I would include a release clause, like Bruno has (120m).

Problem (which could also be a good thing) with Lewy is his ambition. He's like CR in the way that he'll do everything to milk every last drop out of his abilities, which means he'll move to a retirement league a little too late and during next season we'll see a painful drop in level.

In a perfect world Lewy is replaced 2025. Current finances don’t allow for that to happen though.

If they sold Lewa for 20m to Saudi he would be around 8m profit on books then saving salary of what? Around 30m next season.

If that is the case that would be +38m on FFP. That is a big step to getting the funds to sign a new striker if Barca are at 1:1.

Trouble is he most likely will still be there and club wont make any big effort to punt him.

Another point is it would be probably be hard to offer Isak the type of contract that would not be pointed to by other players as being more than they are on...Would guess contract negotiations with Pedri etc all been with explanations of clubs financial position and asking him to take less now than could at other clubs and it will be corrected when can.

If Isak is being offered 20m a season elsewhere for example not sure how well that would go down in squad with all the recent renewals and those to come if they took less as pleading poverty.

Cant see any way Isak happens even if Barca could find the space. Unless he agrees to fall in line salary wise and tough ask when will have a lot of options.

Well I hope the players understand that those financial efforts and sacrifices are made to help strengthen the team.

They won't do it but it would be pretty simple to ask any of those who renewed if they rather want a couple more mil or add Isak to the squad after a potential Lewy exit.

I'll be so disappointed when we spend a 30m difference on a much inferior striker than Isak who will be turning 26 this fall and entering his prime

Just because the price will be so "steep".
