Seriously don't understand his hype.
He is soon 26 years old, has maybe 4-5 years left in his prime and the biggest achievements he has are spanish and german cup.
Last season 25 goals, the season before 11 goals. Now he's at 23. If these statistics justify 100m, we've either an extremly low attacker generation or inflation is way over the top. 10 years ago, we would be talking around 30-40m.

He left Spain at 22 years old, so it's not surprising he kicked on as a footballer since. Plenty of forwards never got to a top level until their mid 20's. Henry for one, Drogba hadn't even played top flight football in France until aged 25.

Eto'o had 54 goals in 161 games as a professional prior to joining Barca at 23, not exactly ground breaking numbers.

In the last three years Isak has 50 goals in 77 league games for Newcastle. Given the 20 odd chances a game that get created by a Flick team, the guy will be posting impressive numbers for Barca I'm sure of it.

As long as EPL teams stay inside their financial bubble, fine by me. It would be way more worrying for Madrid to sign Isak than likes of Arsenal. Or Bayern for example on European level.

He'd do well at Barcelona, but the money don't make sense anymore. I wonder why we're not coming up with homegrown talents at no9. That would save the day in this position as well .

Most likely he renews with Newcastle...possibly with a barely reachable clause.

They wont let him go and he loses out of a few years of earnings if doesnt renew.
