Alexis Sanchez

I think he's played well recently. He just lacks consistency. His confidence is up and down.

But in the past few games, his dribbling has looked better along with his passing, not to mention his effort and pressuring defenders. Clearly not a natural goal scorer and not just because of the missed sitters but he doesn't consistently get into positions to score the way Messi and Villa do. Doesn't appear to be his thing.

I'd rather we keep him than get Neymar honestly.

Sport.es - today

Alexis Sanchez spoke before boarding heading to Barcelona, after the criticism at home for his poor performance against Peru and saw the yellow card to the cooking equipment and will prevent him playing for his country against Uruguay

"I know what kind of player I am. Know I'm a great player, a great player. Know I can decide games and have always been among the best players in the world. I feel important at national level and also in Barcelona, where I am happy."

On the one hand, good to hear that sort of confidence from the player yet reading between the lines it sounds like a player who is trying to convince everyone he isn't suffering despite underperforming for club & country

Whats wrong with what he said? At least he has confidence in his abilities.

I agree, I think he could go milder, he should avoid seeming like he is trying too hard with quotes like that.

With Deulofeu and Neymar knocking at the door i dont see a future for Alexis here. He will do well at Juventus. Our system doesnt suit him. I like his hustle though
