Alexis Sanchez

He had a good game. Some on here want him to score goals but still don't realize he's not really a natural goal scorer. He's a creator.

Yep he's definitely a creator. The other thing that hurts him is that we have a false 9 in Messi, and no actual 9 for him to aim for.

very very satisfying game from him. was trying very hard and did win the pk too. villa was invisible on the other hand.

It's really weird how he's usually shit but does fairly well in the big games. He was great against Milan, and ok yesterday. He was good in the clasicos last season as well.

Still should sell or just keep him on the bench. A forward SHOULD be a natural finisher. Thats his job-to score goals. Great strikers score even when they have only ONE chance in the entire match. Witness Drogba against Bayern in last years final. I bet Alexis conversion rate is something like 1 goal from 12 -15 clear cut chances. That is not Barca material.

Even early on I was surprised (happily) when he fired in a couple of shots, one of which was deflected out for a corner...I thought, how rare is it to see a more aggressive Alexis?...I liked that he took his man on, finally, but he cut inside everytime which defeated the purpose of width a lot of the time as well

He was very good, but his finishing is awful... and for a winger at Barcelona, I still feel it's completely unacceptable. I appreciate his hard work, his speed and his aggressive play, but he gets into scoring positions and just keeps missing. A player who can't score shouldn't keep getting the balls in areas where he has to score!

He was quite good but does anyone really believe he should be playing ahead of Tello? We need to finish our chances or else we will have another Chelsea situation.

I just remembered he once scored 4 in a game, for udinese. He's not a goalscorer, but he was so much better the previous season. 15 goals again would've been nice.

He's more suited in a counter attack minded teams. He scored those 4 against Palermo in a game ended 0-7 for Udinese. If my memory serves well, 2 of his 4 came from a complete 1on1 situations.

He's been failing 1-on-1's now. And he has only 5 goals now, compared to the 11 he had at this point last season.

Yea but hes had chances one on one with the goal keeper and still missed. Against Cordoba he went around the goalkeeper twice, once missed the target , the other he fell down. Its confidence in himself that is the difference now because last year he managed to do it agaisnt Leverkeusen for example.
