Phew, glad to hear that.

Great first half from him; perfect assists and solid finishing. The second was fairly mediocre, but that could be said for the entire team, as they clearly looked to conserve energy for next week. I hope he starts against PSG.

well done Alexis! hope he can grab a few more goals now, if he had managed to keep his head and show some more quality with all the chances he's had so far this season he could have easily had like 15-20 goals by now. he needs to keep this up.

I've said it before, but his ability to give an assist in the final 3rd is better than anybody apart from Messi. Brilliant second goal, great first touch to control the ball and then a sharp finish past the keeper. In the second half his movement was as bad as Messi, but hey he was saving his energy for PSG I guess. I was disappointed when Cesc came off that Alexis stayed up as a number 9. I would have liked to see him drop deeper and play as the false 9, it would have helped the team get better control of the game in the second half.

The smart money is still on Alexis being sold this summer. He is just too inconsistent and his first touch and compsure in front of goal are still way short of Barca standards. He has flattered to deceive alot over these 2 seasons.

He still needs to be sold. Mallorca were awful last night, they were running away from the ball, they left so many open spaces, if Messi had played I have no doubt that double digit scoreline would have been on display.

Rumours around Manchester are that we are going to swap Alexis for Vincent Company - I'm happy with that as long as we get Neymar as well .

That would work very nicely, but I'd imagine we'd be paying money with Sanchez. I'm not sure he'd want to go to the PL though, he knows he can play good football in Serie A, so I think that might convince him to go back to Italy if a mvoe happens for him.

He's been playing pretty well for a good string of games IMO. Seems to have more confidence in his dribbling now and his ability to assist in the final third compliment our other forwards well.

I honestly think we are fine with our attacking options. Villa and Alexis are great compliments for Messi up top, plus rotating options with Pedro, Tello, and Deulofeu. And of course Cesc here and there can play the false forward role too. Hopefully the club sees this and decides to WISELY spend money this summer.
