Alexis Sanchez

Chile NT is a counter-attacking team, he had shiteload of space there... He struggles against a bus though, that's why many don't rate Alexis.

And yet, oddly enough, so many in here assume that the likes of Reus et al. won't also struggle against the busses that we face on a weekly basis. Where's the logic behind that?

Yes, single out Alexis. Because the rest of the team have no problems with parked busses...

well said sir.

Just to add, infact alexis is a player who make things a little better with parked busses when he stays wide and keep the defense stretched.

If you have have everyone in the box, there is absolutely no chance to find a barca player, considering 10 of our men will be shorter than and can't jump higher than 10 men of the opposition 99% of the matches. Makes things worse as a whole.

Now that is where you want a tall no 9, or as a manager, lucho can give his team the license to shoot from 25 yard or so. as Plan Bs and Cs.

A midfield with absolutely breathtaking long range shooting will come handy. Some one like, vidal, pogba or ramsey ?

I don't think that Chile is a counter-attacking team. I think the best description of our team is that we play like Barça did before teams started parking the bus agianst them. I mean, we tend to have most of the possession in most of our game. We did it against Germany, England and when we played against Spain, it was quite even..

4'th scorer of La Liga with 0 penaltyes

More assists than Ronaldo , Neymar , Iniesta in La Liga

Scored in most important games in La Liga

= garbage

Yet people think Pedro is garbage while he has almost identical stats.

Creative, composed on the ball, insane movement, dribbling, etc.

With Barcelona he is a fucking shell of his natural self. He is mostly garbage with Barca.

It's simple really and anyone with any sort of football knowledge can see it... Alexis is a quality player but his skill-set does not suit Barca. He does well in open games with lots of space. I don't know what Pep ever saw in him for our style. He's still a decent player for us but his talent is wasted here. He was a dribbling beast at Udinese.

I've explained a bazillion times how it's nearly impossible for Alexis to make a successful dribble once the defensive bus is parked. If he skips past one and cuts inside there's 2 more defenders + DM waiting for him and if he goes to his right the only thing he can do is either cross, which doesn't work at Barça, or cut back.
Reus would have the same problems and Deulofeu will have them as well next season, mark my words. The only thing that Deulofeu will do compared to Alexis is that it's more likely that he will put in a low cross when he decides to go right. It's something he often does but then again a lot of times there's nobody inside the box when a low cross is made by the right winger. It's something Lucho will have to look at.

Can we please cut the bullshit? Alexis is a fantastic player, and he deserves another season with us.

how many goals did he score?0 how many assist s did he have?2. this is exactly why he is not the right fit for our row he is a support player and not a consistent goal scorer parked bus or no parked bus BTW Vargas plays very well for Chile too but he doesn't perform at his clubs

The problem is in our tactics not the players...For example Perdo was amazing under Pep but now he can't do nothing on the pitch...This season we depended only on individual skills..Sometimes was Messi or Iniesta and Alexis who helped us score against the bus. We need to move the ball quickly so the oppenents can't organise their defence. I hope Lucho brings new things to our tactics.
