It is not true that Pedro was garbage this season (who said that?), but Alexis was still better and scored some pretty amazing goals. I wouldn't sell neither of them, but that's just me.

Think he only had 2. First goal he created but the goal assist was not his.

Chile was pretty shitty. Only Alexis and Vargas were playing well. When Alexis gets the creative free role he is very good indeed.

Creative, composed on the ball, insane movement, dribbling, etc.

With Barcelona he is a fucking shell of his natural self. He is mostly garbage with Barca.

Every Barca player nowadays plays better for his NT, even messi and his used to be the only exception. When I see all of them playing so well theres only one thing you can blame, The coach/tactics.

More than an issue of simply playing better with the NT...In Alexis' case, his role & what he's asked/allowed to do are vastly different from that at Barcelona...The undeniable fact, however, is how much he can influence a match without being the goalscorer many of us thought he could become...Those 3 assists were terrific with only 1 of them being of the variety we're accustomed to at Barcelona...The deeper through balls were something we've seen in the past from Cesc or Xavi which illustrates the difference in roles for him at Chile

I'm still of the mind of keeping Alexis over Pedro

When they're put in their proper elements you see what type of player they really are, Pedro is an out and out wide forward while Alexis is really more of the creative type, either way you can't leave either of them stranded out on the wing, Pedro needs to make his runs and alexis needs freedom to do his work.

Oh I agree but the larger issue is that they both defer too often to Messi rather than look to score...again, we're probably talking about different responsibilities and how they're used...So at the very least, I believe, neither are being used to their potential with Barcelona
