Chile NT is a counter-attacking team, he had shiteload of space there... He struggles against a bus though, that's why many don't rate Alexis.

Sure he does. So do others. Not that surprising, almost every attacking player likes space and hates playing against parked buses. Besides, the answer against such a tactic lies in the way you play as a team, rather than in the hands of one player -- any player for that matter.

He was Chile Alexis and his partnership with Neymar was among top in Europe (recall: we led Europe in counter attacking goals during that time too ). Minute Messi gets back it's find a way to feed Messi the ball and everyone shells up again. It's madness.

Exactly. This is why I'd keep him. To me he seems very isolated on the right wing and he doesn't have many options to choose from. Mostly, he has to pass the ball back or run down the wing since he is not able to cut inside due to his weak foot.
If I were Lucho, I'd try to give Alexis more freedom. He has to be able to be more creative on the pitch, rather than just running down the wing.
I'm sure if Lucho somehow manages to accomplish this, Alexis will shine here.

For the sake of Alexis career, he should leave. Unless of course Lucho has huge balls and has the team playing together instead of for Messi. I'm very skeptical to say the least because Pep (later years), Tito, nor Tata have been able to do that.
