Because it would be a shame to let Alexis sit on the bench. Neymar and Suarez would both start over him, and he's way to good to be a benchwarmer. Pedro fits the role of support-player much better, and he can fill in for both the LW and the RW. It makes sense.

Pedro staying is also better because I believe that it'll be easier for Deulofeu, Adama, and Munir to displace him rather than Alexis.

If there's a club more stingy than Arsenal, it's Juventus. They offered 8 million for RVP to counter United's 25 million offer a couple of years ago. They mostly go after bargains and free transfers nowadays, like Llorente/Pogba/etc.

It just doesn't make sense that they would ever enter a bidding war, when there are already 2 interested clubs (Arsenal & Liverpool). I guess it's just Tuttosport lying as usual
