Alexis Sanchez

Players who pass through Arsenal lately have had a habit of turning into position less and tactically clueless - Wenger helps them offensively at the expense of making them forget how to fit into a system.

Perhaps it's only for players who grow up in that system, like Cesc though. Henry and Viera turned out all right after all.

He also turned RVP into one of the best players in the world. RVP said in an interview that it was Wenger who convinced him to become a #9, and that he didn't consider himself much of a goalscorer before that change.

And as for turning players tactically clueless... what examples are there of that?

Ronaldo to Inter to RM comes to mind. Missing out on Alfredo di Stefano comes to mind. But Alexis? Legend? Sure. You keep telling yourself that.

Barcedola did not miss out Di Stefano. He signed for Barcelona. Then for Madrid. 1st it was decided he would play 1 year in each team and then Franco boys decided he would play for madrid.

Ronaldo sale was a huge mistake. He was only 20 and already an alien. Sanchez is nowhere near that standard.

I'm well aware of the fiasco. But from what I've read, the confusion amidst the Barcelona board is one of the main reasons why Di Stefano played for Real Madrid and not for Barcelona as well as per the RFEF's decision. As such I'd very much count it as being "missing out" on him.

Man City have reportedly joined Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United in the race to sign Alexis Sanchez. They'd be willing to 50M. [daily star]

That sounds great.

Hope it's true. City is better to deal with, will offer more avid quickly and also way better destination for Alexis who will do well with Manuel and they can use him btw

i hope he shows his quality in arsenal, then transfers to real and shows what a big mistake barca made

Lol-troll alert!!!

Alexis has had 3 seasons and NEVER shown up on the big stage I.E THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

He's been good in La Liga last season but he lacks that x factor and imo is not good enough to be a starter for Barca.

If we get Suarez for 80 mil and sell Alexis for 40-45 mil then its good business and no one can criticise the board for that.

Suarez was probably close to or on par with Ronaldo and Messi last season.

He pretty much single handedly dragged Lpool to second place last season.

Alexis in the EPL??

Jusry is out on this. He goes to ground so easily and that too in La Liga. In England he will get no favours from the ref-that's for sure.

If I had to choose between Lpool, ManU, ManC and Arsenal, I hope he goes to ManC, that would be great.
If we get suarez for 80m and sell Alexis for 40m to Lpool, Lpool is doing great business.
