That doesnt say the signing of Suarez was Bartos choice it just says that the club had already been pursuing him and they asked Lucho if he wanted him.

You're wrong. Zubi was the one who wanted Lucho and he had wanted him the year before as well before Rosell went after Tata.

I'm all for criticising this board, which they fully deserve, but give Zubi credit where its due with issues such as MAtS and Lucho.

Because he needed another star signing, to see if people would forget neymar, and increase his popularity. Suarez wasn't a player who needed scouting.

That is guess work and opinion. I dont think anyone from Barca has said Suarez was a Barto signing.

By those rules the majority of the good signings in the Laporta/Tkixi reign were nothing to do with them but they get credited with them all the same.

Many players are linked, even now, when they can't be signed. When Rakitic was linked, so was Kroos. LE chose Rakitic. I'm not guessing anything, I just followed their signings back then.
Zubi deserves credit for MAtS, but for douglas and vermaelen too. Those 3 are here because of him only.

I know that. I was talking about Rosell. He was not the one that appointed Lucho. Bartomeu/Zubi did that. Rosell on the other hand preferred Tata as I wrote.

Signing ter-Stegen was one of the few "highlights" of his career as a sporting director at the club. As a former world class goalkeeper this is not really surprising. If he had fucked that up too his time at the club would have been even more embarrassing.

Anyway let's wait with calling Lucho a success story. At this time last year many people were saying the same about Tata and look how that ended!

Sure, LE got the "final" say. He was chosen to be the coach because of Zubi's efforts, so it's understandable why he trusted Zubi on douglas and verm.
