Whit this injuries I would rather see midfield with Roberto and Rafinha as CM but Roberto is no longer seen as mid and Rafinha, who form me is the best of those we mostly talk about, looks to be last in the standing order.

What worries me is our transfer policy and not even seeing the problem. With just good, not the best, midfield and our front trio we would rip defences apart. Even more I hate the fact Real looks set for years with Modric, Kroos, Isco, Asensio, Kovacic, hell even James is still there...5-6 creative and young players.

Lucho is far from being perfect and like many others I questioned and keep on questioning some of his decision but I think the midfield problem doesn't solely fall on him.

Lucho is the man who punt the names on the paper. He's the coach, so al the tactics are comming from him..

I just never understood this purchase.

Considering his attributes, and price, he is about as un-Barca like as you could get.

Poor control, rushes things, and offers little going forward.

You are right.
I don't think that we'll sell anyone this season.

Also, I don't believe that we will buy anyone except an expensive RB this summer.

I have said a lot of times that I think that this team is weaker and weaker each new week (low motivation, some bad players, Lucho being bad etc).
But we have a lot of problems in player's quality, which is often masked by Messi's brilliance.
This rooster is far from world class.

Anyway, imagine that we lose La liga and a CL this season.
Barto won't sell anyone and we will just continue with the same squad into a new season.

Maybe we'll get a new coach in a summer (but I am not 100% sure about that either. Lucho could stay, sadly).
If Lucho stays, we'll continue with the current crap except that we'll fall down more and more each new week.
If we get a new coach, what can we change?
We can't sell any of MSN.
we won't sell Iniesta and Busi.
Gomes and Denis will get another chances.
We will get a new RB.
There is no point in changing Cbs or Lbs.

So, we are not willing to change anyone.
Only guys like Rakitic, Cillessen and Paco could lose their job here.

People here are quite sure that once when Lucho will be gone, we will be quite different.
But again, with exactly the same rooster, and if we won't sell/buy anyone this summer (or if those will be minor changes) I don't see how a new season can be different than the current one.

Imagine a new coach here, and he still has to play with:
MSN (Neymar all the time)
Old Iniesta-poor Gomes-Busi in midfield etc.
Raki will probably get sold, and if you don't want to play with Gomes, whom will you play? With squad level players Denis/Rafinha/Roberto? They surely won't bring trophies here.

So, when you put it all on paper, the board probably won't sell Neymar, Gomes, Denis this summer.

That means=exactly the same team in a new season+RB.

I just don't see how that team will magically start to play better only because we have a new coach and nothing else changed.
A slight improvement is possible (since we are extremely bad currently), but it won't be good enough for la liga and a CL.

Ok

But for example Rafinha or Roberto (even Denis).
It doesn't seem as their problem is a bad coach.

They just seem like not too good and that's it.

Worst of all is the fact we may buy Cancelo for RB position to complete our disaster transfer policy.

I don't think we will sell anyone this summer, we can't sell Rakitic since Gomes is definitely not starter material, we won't sell Gomes as I mentioned before and same goes for Paco and Denis. I can only see maybe Rafinha or Arda leaving and that is it. On the other side if no one goes from our midfield Alena will go on loan and Samper won't return.

And off course we won't have enough money to buy either Coutinho or Verratti this summer and then next summer of 2018 will come and we will have to buy 2 world class midfielders since Iniesta will be 34 and that wont be easy at all! Not to mention we can't expect from other teams to develop our homegrown players! There wasn't ONE loan which resulted in bringing back player who immediately contributed our team. Denis and Rafinha are just squad players and all other players never returned (Deulofeu, Adama etc.).

We have to start trusting la Masia again and go back to raising our own players. I do not expect we will have again 10 players from la Masia in our starting line up but Lucho in his 3 years hasn't brought one single player from La Masia to our first team and that is just wrong! He was forced to bring Munir and Sandro from B team but that was just because of transfer ban. This just has to stop!

Ok, maybe not loans but still...

Yeah but those were not loans :). Alba went in 2007 and returned in 2012. Pique also went in 2004 and returned in 2008.
Honestly I don's see why would anyone invest in raising young player and tolerate his potential mistakes when he will go back for free in Barcelona in one or two years.
There is actually no point in doing that. Entire idea is flawed. You can sell player and incorporate a buyback clause but in that case result is also doubtful. If buyback clause is small this other team won't make a big effort with this player and if buyback is huge you definitely have big faith in this guy so why don't you just raise him by yourself?!?!

Of course it's his fault. Denis and Gomes were his signings. He chose to move Bob to rb and not buy a real rb too. He's been here for 3 seasons. This is his team.

Where do you get these ideas from? I've seen other people buy into these ideas as well.

Loans to develop players happen all the time. The team that get a free player want to win games. Its not about "tolerating" mistakes from young players. These players are great players and often far better than anything they already have. Of course they want to win games even if the player returns after a year or two. It happens all the time.

Much better in the second half. His best role in this Barca system is the DM at Camp Nou, there his slowness is not exposed.

Yeah let's just pretend the first half where Athletic players were happily skipping past him like they were just out playing hopscotch never happened.
