He looked better when Granada left a tonne of space behind them and the game was becoming end-to-end for some 15-20 minutes in the 1st half. He had space to run with the ball and that's when he does well. He did that in Valencia. Might be the perfect player for a team like Liverpool.

When he runs with the ball, he isn't as slow as he seems, but he won't get that here. I don't really like Coutinho that much, but perhaps we could convince Liverpool to sell him for 30m + Gomes or something like that. Unlikely to happen, but just a thought.

The way Granada player passed him when they scored equalizer was just embarrassing. For a player of such physical strength it's just unacceptable to be so unbelievably bad in defense. Children in elementary school are playing tougher defense than he does.
