Roberto will play DM as he did sometimes in the last seasons. Mascherano can play DM too. Samper will go on loan and that's obvious since the beginning. Even before Gomes came.

I understand POR has been producing talented MF lately. So is he the lesser of the talent compared to Renato Sanches, William Carvalho and João Mário?. I ask as I honestly don't know.

I think he might actually be the best out of the ones being mentioned.

Okay. Renato and Carvalho are very highly rated on other forums.

In any case, Los Che fans don't seem too upset by the loss. They are, however, not too keen on the prospects of one of Montoya/Tello as part of the deal. :p

Gomez is a sloppy passer, lacking final ball with poor decision making. He's, but, a good counter-attacking player, all acc. to them.

Is Andre gomez going to play like a DM then ?

When Busi will need a rest, Lucho can play:
1. Pique+Umtiti as CBs and Mascherano as a Dmc
2. or Pique/Masch/Umtiti/Mathieu as Cbs, Vidal as a Rb, Sergi Roberto as a Cdm

So, we already have 3 Cdms in our team and all 3 played some amount of matches as Cdms, and Roberto played quite good.

With too many Cms in our team, and already 3 Cdms who played much better than Samper at Cdm (who played 200-400 Minutes as a Cdm for Ateam), it is quite logical to send Samper on loan and to see how will he develop both as Cdm and Cm.

Roberto will play DM as he did sometimes in the last seasons. Mascherano can play DM too. Samper will go on loan and that's obvious since the beginning. Even before Gomes came.

Exactly.
Sorry, I haven't seen your post when I was replying to a post above since it was on a previous page.

the most amazing thing about this signing is that, he was almost certainly a real madrid player. Today we have avenged Ramos's signing. I hope he turns out to be that good in the future.

He used to go on and on how Cesc will be a perfect match.

And btw. he basically says his main skills are being tall and scoring goals.

I know they're highly rated. But, for example, Renato Sanches is guilty of almost all the things those Valencia fans say about Gomes. He does plenty of poor passes himself, makes wrong choices with the ball at his feet, he's also better on the counter than in positional.

The question about these players for me is how will they react to new conditions. Talent won't be the separator between them. Both Sanchez and Gomes will soon find out that it's a lot harder to play in a great team than in a team with less pressure, even though some would think it's easier.

Playing with Messi, Neymar, Suarez doesn't actually make your life easier on the pitch. Arguably, it makes it harder. For example, having a player like Messi on your side will work against you, because he does little off the ball, so you have to work harder as a result.

The way current barca play is more direct. I think the way Gomes plays will fit in well here. People including myself doubted rakitic before he came and he worked out well

That is pretty accurate depiction of him. I am hoping he can improve his passing and decision making. He will be 23 next week, so he still has time to improve.
