Gomes is useless. Even the commentators stated Barca tried with their all might to get rid of him this summer due to him not being good enough for Barcelona - but failed.

You would have looked OK going into that game. So would I.

When a game is fresh - real ability shines through. That is when Gomes gets pushed off the ball and can't pass. When a game is finished - and you have players like Messi and Suarez around you - it is hard to look bad.

Having said that Gomes looked shit many times he came on second half last season to0.

Ha, ha. Well I've always been very harsh on him so I thought it only fair to praise him when he did something good. Was the game already won at that point? Sure. But he still looked tidy. As for what that means for the future, well I'm still dubious. But at least today, for the first time, I saw SOMETHING.

Id agree . I have been on Rakitic's back for a while but I can admit that he was good tonight , played the best I've seen him for quite some time .

The Gomes haters should remove their blinkers , he's a Barca player after all - just wanting to do well for us .

They can be deluded but his first touch and take near the half way line followed by the quick burst and brilliant through ball to Dembele was as good as anything we saw all evening ..

At least three top clubs were after him in the summer including Spurs .... he didn't want to move which is understandable .
