A coach should choose his players. Imagine if the coach has no say in transfer policy? It´s very difficult to manage a project in those conditions.

I believe the coach should have a voice, but not the final say by any means. It's different if you will have a coach for 10/15/20 years like Fergie, Wenger or even Simeone now, but 99% of clubs will have a new coach every 2/3 years. The club and board are the ones who are responsible for the long term vision of the club.

The club must choose the right coach for the players.

I think that’s certain he won’t now with the injury.. all the other backup players will have some minutes and Valverde didn’t use him in any big games last season.. not started anyway.

He put him in against Roma away, which was our most important game last season. And we lost it. I want to be sure that it doesn't happen again.
