I'm sorry but he was more shit than shit. Not pressing the Sociedad players at all, shit positioning, bad passing, cant get past any defender. He was way more lost out there than Denis and Rafinha have ever been.

But this is only one game. Rafinha is horrible defensively and would not have been any better here. And while you could simply call Denis inconsistent before, he is leaning increasingly towards consistently shit. If Gomes plays like this once in a while, but puts up good performances otherwise, that's okay by me until Iniesta is back. None of the midfield options are good at the moment anyway.
