Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta will be honoured by his home town on Friday in an event organized by the Castilla-La Mancha Barcelona supporters’ club. A bronze statue of the player will be unveiled in Fuentealbilla by local mayor, Ángel Salmerón. Castilla-La Mancha supporters’ club spokesman Daniel Peinado explained that the statue of Iniesta is their way of thanking the player for “the values and affection he has always shown towards his people”.
