In what way? Even a poor Iniesta is still better than most players, he is our creative linchpin and replacing him with a winger is a stupid idea, even if the winger was Ronaldo
i don't know really, when the game was on i had a feeling that if someone had to be subbed in the first place it should've been fab, then iniesta, and martino did exactly what i thought. i didn't base it on logic but if i tried to explain it i think it would be something like we need attackers, iniesta couldn't go past the center without losing the ball in the second half, subbing xavi would be bad because he was the only midfielder holding on to the ball, subbing a defender off would be scary, subbing messi off would be logical BUT when it comes between messi and iniesta i'd obviously choose messi to stay, he can score a goal out of nowhere, but it doesn't apply to iniesta, and it's less possible for iniesta who's having a shitty game to decide it in one move like messi does when he also has a shitty game. i might be wrong i dunno but that was a solution i agreed with.
