And some still come up with that bullshit. He was MotM in the fucking CL final and up until his injury he was our best player in the beginning of this season. I do not know how much world class performances people need to see to realize their talk about him declining, being done and whatever are not true.

He has declined week in week out in my opinion but tonight might be his best performance ever for Barca it was that complete.

We keep hearing that iniesta is back, Or iniesta has lost it, Over and over again.
A 27 year old iniesta can be spectacular 8 out of 10 matches, While a 31 iniesta can only be spectacular 3 out of 10 matches, That's what happens when you age, You don't lose everything, It's just that your consistency start to decline.
The fact he can pull god like performances from time to time is no surprise, because he never left in the first place.

Nah, you're wrong, though he has been good again recently. I hate this whole "don't say a bad word about Andres!" attitude some of you have. And this was his best performance, way better than the CL final even. He was complete.

He always turns it up in big games, there is no doubt about it. However, he is nowhere near as consistent of a player as he was during the Pep days. This is just a fact.

Nothing to take away from tonight's performance. He was absolutely amazing.

He should not be immune to criticism of course but how people criticize him is what bothers me. Iniesta is a CM and impossible dribble runs, golazos like today or one of a kind through balls are icing on the cake not his every day job. The problem is people are expecting such stuff in about every game instead of appreciating how crucial he is for our build up play and ball circulating, how it is basically impossible to press and gain possession against him, how well he himself presses without the ball and that he knows which space the team needs to attack.

He still gets into plenty of good positions and his end product is poor. That's not debatable at this point. Nor is his consistent high performance high anymore. And that's fine, but don't pretend otherwise. Even Bartra has more assists than the man in 2015.

Again, who gives a shit. Phenomenal tonight.

Whata majestic performance from the DON! I predicted Modric and Kroos to dominate the midfield and boy how wrong was I!

Hats off to one and only Andres Iniesta! :emotions16:

Really had one of those unforgettable performances, loved that he scored to top it off - and what a beauty it was

Iniesta's gifts shine when Barça play more as they used to- buildup instead of direct- which is dependant on the opponent and Lucho's tactics. This game was by far the most build-up oriented game in a long time, with Madrid pressing across the pitch most of the time, and with Roberto and Busi providing 1-touch options and Neymar playing more conservatively than usual. When Iniesta is simply dumping the ball off to the forwards, and there is little attempt by Barça to control play through the midfield, he's obviously going to look more anonymous and have less influence.

Great game, and tactically more pleasing to my taste as a spectator. Not possible against every opponent, but so much more enjoyable when Barça can play build-up tactics.
