I actually think he's playing very well. A few misplaced passes but his movements is great and so is his defensive work.

I couldn't ever use the word shit. And Iniesta in the same sentence.
I would love having him on the pitch even if he was 80 years old and on crutches. Definition of Class.

He's still class. If he didn't have to run so much for Neymar who is 8 years younger than him, he'd be better.

I'm as critical of Iniesta's end product as anyone, but yesterday his assist killed the game after he got in the position that Alba and particularly Neymar had wasted all game. That counts for a lot.

Neymar was shit yesterday and lost the ball a lot but still set up 2/3 great chances. One for Suarez in first half and Messi in second off top of head.

Alba was just rotten in final third the whole game and it looks like teams are actively leaving him open as his final product is so poor.

Iniesta is still class in the final third. My issue is that he doesnt have the legs to get up into the final third quick although front three seem to get ball and play their own game at times not looking for support.

Iniesta grew into the game yesterday when Messi started to slow it down and involve him more rather than break as quickly as possible to find Ney or Suarez. Although he still looked very poor defensively and slow against counter attacks.

IMO he's been strolling games for far too long now, and he gets away with it on reputation.

He shits himself when he gets into the final third of the pitch. His end product used to get dismissed because the rest of his play was so good, but for the last few years now he's started to seriously slow play down, he's not carrying the ball as much as he used to and he refuses to make a telling pass, they're all sideways and backwards. Right now he's a hinderance more than anything.

Him and Rakitic are the reason Messi has to drop so deep so he can start picking out the passes for Neymar and Suarez. I think both need replacing in the summer. The treble was won last season because of the front three, this season the team fell apart the moment the front three went off the boil. That should have sent alarm bells ringing higher up. Only takes one Suarez ban and Messi injury at the same time and we're screwed.

6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??
I think it's time to give him limited time next season, similar to xavi last year.
Give turan and rafinha the chance to prove their worth and if they can't buy a superstar midfielder.

On the whole I thought he was alright too. I disagree about him being class in the final 3rd, though, and his lack of goals and assists reflect that. We often get him on 25-odd yards from goal and rarely does he provide a killer ball. At best he might spread to the RB. He's having a better season than last but his end product hasn't been good enough in a long time.
