For what? He did one good roulette and minutes later plucked the ball out the sky like a don... his technique has never been under dispute, very few get close to him in that respect, but he is massively overrated in every other department of his play. Again, can't pass, can't shoot, shits himself when he gets into the final third.
If the club had any sense they'd replace him sharpish. Currently the midfield lacks little to no creativity and no pace whatsoever. Rakitic works his socks off, but at times it looks like he's running in treacle too.
If the front three suffer a prolonged lapse as they did a couple months ago (albeit for a few matches), next season won't end well. The midfield has got to be a priority in the summer.
Maybe you should be pointing fingers at the right person for this "issue", i.e the coach? Atleast try to use your head and understand what Iniesta's role is nowadays. You buy Pogba, Verratti, Gundogan and restrict them to circulating the ball and making sure the team defends counter-attacks and they'll play just the same. The midfield doesn't lack creativity (seriously, every team in the world would take Busquets and Iniesta's creativity if they could), the team is set up so that the creativity either comes from the front 3 or most of the goals are being scored on the counter-attack.
Can't believe you can't see how lucky your own team is to have such players with such a midfield. The main reason teams like Madrid, PSG, Bayern (against any good team) concede so much is because of mistakes in midfield or because of how easily their midfield is bypassed when the opponent attacks. In particular, pointing fingers at Iniesta who has to sacrifice his play-style and attacking instincts for the better of the team is just really poor taste. Isn't this the team that went 39 games unbeaten? Do you think that happened
despite your midfield?
If your team is so dependent on the front three for your creativity, maybe you should be firing your coach instead.
Also, ThwiX is complaining about fanboyism. Incredible stuff.
