Andrés Iniesta

With all due respect it's time for him to move to the bench. He still has enough quality to come on as a super-sub and flip a match on its head. He just isn't up for 2 matches a week anymore. Our midfield is in shambles.

Simply shouldn't be a starter anymore sadly. not exactly his fault in the first place that it got to this point as the club failed to find a good enough CM that we can use to slowly start to phasing him out like we did with Xavi.

Past it years ago.

Offers no goals, assists, energy, strength, fitness, pace. Nothing.

Couple of slinky moves during a game doesnt make up for that. Been past it for years and just getting worse.

Have been saying this for a whie ,it is just same thing that happened with Xavi whom we kept as a starter far too long.
Iniesta should enjoy two more productive year as a rotation midfielder, but not anymore as a starting one

Iniesta and Rakitic on the bench would suddenly be decent depth hehe.

Yeah, we need two new starting midfielders next summer. It's time to build a system where the defence, midfield and attack contributes together. This chaos Lucho invented to get the best out of MSN is backfiring on him big time

He still has something to offer when paired with good midfielders. He's playing better for spain for a reason. But he's not like Xavi, who would run things on his own.

No, Flavia. His injuries and age is catching up. He need to play the role Xavi played in 2014-15 from the bench.

He has mostly been awful for Spain in the last couple tournaments against decent teams.

Absolutely shocking when Italy eliminated them in last euros.

Friendlies against France dont prove much.

Lucho has shown some disastruous gaps in understanding the basis of football. He basically repeated the same mistakes that Galactico Madrid did. Signed superstars in attack and filler in midfield, because the money were spent on big transfer with insane wages, so logically, paying those money for those players meant we had to cut costs in midfield. That's why Kroos for example wasn't signed, but Rakitic was. Rakitic was less expensive and his wages were significantly lower probably.

Football time and time again reminds teams that football is about the team, not about which side has more superstars. It's time to sack the idiots that went this way and bring us back to the drawing board and actually building a team built on some clear foundations.
