Andrés Iniesta

I can't see Iniesta go to China honestly. Possibly carry out a sub-role at Barca for a few years and focus on expanding his bodega.

We'll see. I don't think it's as big of deal nowadays for these club legends to retire a 1-club-player. Xavi carried on in Qatar. Messi might carry on in Argentina.

I don't think it's a big deal either and I am not projecting my hope of not wanting to see a legend like him make a move to china.
But I think if Iniesta can carry out a role in minor capacity role at Barca for a few more years and he is running a business for which he seems to have a passion it might persuade him to just stay in Spain. He seems too timid for a Chinese adventure.

He does seem fairly timid and conservative but 30m+ euros a year might help him with his timidness.

Wait...I take back what I said lol. I only now read his quote saying "Before 30 April, I have to decide if I'm staying or going to China."

If he actually mentioned China chances are like 55/45 in favour of China.

I dont like them leaving. Similair to Xavi if Iniesta leaves I find it very greedy.
These players already have a net worth of near 100 million dollars. How much is enough? At what point wont you disgrace your legacy and play in subpar leagues with terrible human rights where normal people have fuck all?

I get it if you are some player playing for getafe that can get in a financial position to not work ever again or even your children. But players like Iniesta and Xavi have so much money their grandchildren’s grandchildren will live in luxury.

In the end as a football fan I will respect his decision and praise him no less of course but as a normal citizen I will be dissapointed if he goes to china to get even more money.

If he can ignore the money, I would want him to stay.
Team needs a cold head and a role model, plus I'm sure he can deliver in smaller games.
Stay Andres.

He can also still deliver in big games.

I think he should stay another season as a Coutinho sub.

With transfers of Arthur and Griezmann locked, we can't afford another attacking CM this summer.

We are apparently looking at Max Meyer who could come on free transfer.

I'd much prefer him to be a sub for us, but i also understand the wage increase and more relax lifestyle.
he'd free up a lot of our wages as-well

I suppose the training workload and pressure on FC Barcelona is too much for his body and mind at this age. Whatever the decision is, it has to be respected.

If I was him I'll leave. He has won everything there is and he does't have the legs to play regularly in the top tier football anymore, and the offer from China is beyond good for him. Plus Barca has bought his replacement as Coutinho. There is no point for him to reject that fancy offer just to be a back up for Coutinho next season. I think he's gone and this is the best decision IMO.

One of my favourite ever players, just below Messi and Ronaldinho, and I still think he's good enough to be a fantastic option next year. But whatever he decides I'll respect, and remain thankful for the memories.

I really think he can give us another great season, if he is used sparingly. His calmness in big matches is unmatched. He can't run as he used to, but he sure can still pass.

He was training today with the team, so he is probably nearly 100% healthy. I just hope that he doesn't feature in the Spain friendlies.

Also, Denis Suarez is working with the ball again, but noone cares (couldn't be arsed to find the topic and post there).
