Iniesta is not a winger. That has been tried by Tito with a much younger Iniesta and it failed in the big games. Now it will fail in the medium hard games as well. Iniesta doesn't have the legs or positioning sense or skillset to play on the wing. And who will play in the midfield? We need Iniesta's vision to pierce the buses we will face day in day out. He will be wasted on the wing. What will he do cross to the parked bus in the middle?

And MSN not putting the defensive work is not a sustainable strategy. We need everyone to defend. We need to sort out our midfield first before thinking who will play on the wing

Not gonna happen. Didn't liked him when he played on the wings under Tito. He lacks the physical aspects that a barca winger needs..

Iniesta as a part of a midfield of 3 against good teams is an absolute no no in my opinion anymore.

Iniesta might surprise a few dudes around here. Most seem to think he's a grandpa. Yet, he's only 1 year older than Modric. No reason why he can't have a great season if he doesn't get injured like last year.

I smile when I see people saying that Iniesta is not cut out for it. I see where they are coming from. We need to remember that Barca are usually at their best when he is on the paddock. Incidents where is he is out athletitised by other athletes should not make us forget how good he was during the rest of the game. Development in how to play him to minimise those athletic incidents are all that is needed.

Some people think that players are already close to being retired as soon as they turn 30.
Iniesta is 33 yo and 1 year younger than Xavi before the 2014-15 season.
Midfielders who possesses high footballing intelligence and level of techniques can play longer than those who are more dependent on their physical abilities when they are managed more wisely under good coaches.
I blame Lucho for Iniesta's poor form last season (though he was actually decent during the early stage of the season) due to poor tactics, poor managements and also injuries.
Iniesta can definitely extend his career here at least two more years.

Yes he's not finished. His playing time and team tactics have to be tweaked to get the best out of him. Just look at Xavi and Pirlo as recent example. I just hope he doesn't have any injuries which hamper him

I call BS Iniesta not a starter? Please Iniesta is a doctor a genius super elegant he is able to be a starter easy out of crop of players we have available however he can give us 60-70 min no more and have him play once a week while rotating him from bench if we play 2x a week, Iniesta is simply to smart too good even if he doesn't got the legs anymore to cover lots of ground, Valverde is a much better coach then Enrique I have no doubt with some few tweaks in the system to get the best out of Iniesta
