Andrés Iniesta

Anyone else think that Iniesta is better being back in midfield along-side Xavi, with Fabregas on the left wing?

no they are doing the right thing by switching every few minutes. that way u get the the best quality each one has to offer in each position, where ever fabregas goes he offers that bit more directness and iniesta can offer his passing in AM and his dribbling and interplay with alba on the wing.

No Fabregas on the wing is too slow and cant dribble like Iniesta

He's slow but when he plays on the wing he doesn't wander much. Plus his main role when he is there is to link up and provide a killer pass to either Iniesta, Pedro, Messi, or an overlapping Alves.

There is no point in trying to label the positions of most of our players. They all wander and move around so much that you can't recognize exactly where they are playing.

Pure efficiency, conservation of effort. His gift is to always have control of the ball, with reserve in the tank to accelerate instantly in any direction, but instantly throttling back when the effort is superfluous. Brilliant.

Watched the match again (hadn't seen first half yet) and the change between those is so visible. When Iniesta turns it on, he turns it on :worthy:

Yeah, they do switch a fair amount, it's true. With Busquets and Xavi firmly anchoring midfield, that's probably the best tactic as you say.

Who can stop this man :worthy:

This reminds me how important the cut-back is as a goal-scoring move for Barça. They should almost focus on it more!

He is a man that is making the difference for us ATM ,last season it was all messi but now messi can afford to have bad games because Andres steps up that much he can carry our game even against away top team as Malaga.Deffinatelly the second best player in the world, one of the 5 best players i have ever seen play....Yes he is that underated but beyond possible good, scary to have 2 players like that in a team and when we add up Xavi and Bussi to that...

Iniesta has definitely proved to be much better than CR this season. Every match is literally a magic show from El Ilusionista AND he's leading europe in assists on that left wing. IMO he's better than Laudrup or Zidane but not many would agree with me on that.

It's great to have 3 of the 4 best players in the world on your team.

But let's not forget about the others :p
Almost every player in Barca's starting 11 is one of the best in his position. Alves (when on form), Alba, Pique, Busquets, Fabregas and of course, Messi, Xavi and Iniesta.
That's what makes Barca so scary. Amazing players + great teamwork.
