While I disagree with the first part of your statement (I believe he's Barca level), I do agree with the second part. I'd rather see Pep give more chances to Bartra who to me looks much more solid and confident.

We have an excellent CB in Bartra but Pep doesn't rate him... Besides we have plenty of options in CB so there's really no point in bringing Botia back.

Not a fan of seeing Busquets there as well. Mascherano can do a good job covering there, Busquets cannot. That aint a criticism or assassination of Busquets, he simply should not have to be called upon to cover at the heart of the defence.

Yeah me neither. The reason for me is because Busquets, in my opinion, is the best CDM in the world and to see him in that CB position is truly a waste of talent.

He didn't have a bad game. If anyone disagrees with me, then I want to know why. He was much better than Busquets - he tackled well, had more pace, was looking confident and the only negative thing I noticed was his positional sense. But that's because he lacks experience.

It all comes down to Pep trying to find minutes for everyone... Keita at DM means Busquets as CB... However this should not happen unless Puyol is the other CB...

And I don't think we have a lot of options for CB, only three players are natural CB and the rest have played there just as a temporary fix...

Clearly not Barca material, I can not see how anyone can claim otherwise based on his performances in a Barca shirt. He is soooo slow and too nervous. When you play a high line like Barca but are as slow as fuck you out the whole defense in jeopardy. Not good enough, simple as.

I disagree. He is a good passer, has great ball control, looked quite solid today and wasn't guilty in neither of the goals. He is slow, but not slower than Pique, Macherano or Busquets. I suggest not coming to conclusions yet, because he is quite young and inexperienced.

It took King Abidal 2 years to become irreplaceable to us. As I said, he is young and inexperienced. If he plays 2 seasons with us and still makes same mistakes he does today, then he can be marked as a failure. I also said he didn't play badly today. His partner, Busquets, was at fault for both goals and if anyone should be blamed, it's him.

And buying a CB is a very risky business for Barcelona. It needs a certain type of players and those types tend to be very expensive and rare.

I still don't understand why Bartra doesn't get more appearances. Oh well, I'm not a manager and I'm in no position to criticize Pep's choice of picking Fontas over Bartra...
