That was a major screw-up by the whole team, with Simeone the first one to blame for not going for the kill when they had the momentum going their way, and instead playing it dumb. If he had scored that pen. they probably wouldn't have attacked and Carrasco wouldn't have equalised anyway.

Sure, hindsight is always 20/20, but looking at those stats, brings up some bad memories.

As it stands Griezmann has won 0 trophies thus far. If he loses on Sunday he won't even make the podium.

Publicity plays an important role in this. If Griezmann shine in the final and France wins it the French media could play a crucial part in promoting Griezmann for the bdor. And IMO Barca papers need to follow the same path, pushing Ronaldo aside in this after all the nonsense we've heard about him being worthy of the bdor after that fraud of a CL.
