Griezmann: "If we continue like this, we'll be fighting to not be relegated"

Context: Atleti dropped 4 points after 2 draws against Leganes & Alaves at the start of their La Liga season.

Nonsense.. he s one of the finest in the world and missing a penalty wont change that fact.. its like saying messi is not the best in the world because he keeps missing penalties

He would be a great fit for Barça based on how he takes penalties.

Otherwise too obviously. He's a great player.

Question: where next for Griezmann?

Atleti can't hold on to him indefinitely--Simeone himself won't be around much longer and when the Argentine leaves, so will Griezmann.

Barca and Real are unlikely destinations given his ties to Atleti, at least immediately after he leaves. I can see him making a massive move to PSG, but I hope he doesn't, because it would be a waste of his talents. One of the Manchester teams would probably fit him best, especially Pep's City. Him and KdB would tear the PL apart.

If he goes to England however I can see him returning to Spain to one of Real or Barca.

Thoughts?

If Arda left Atleti to join us, then so can Griezmann...

I see your point, but Griezmann is a lot more important to Atleti than Arda was. He's also one of the top emerging talents; certainly among the top ten best players in the world at the moment. I can't imagine Atleti would let him join a direct competitor.

My post from 2011.

Jonathan Soriano may be the key that opens the door for Antoine Griezmann move to Barcelona in the event that Barca fails in their bid to sign Alexis Sanchez.

Imagine if it happened
